If you are new to Brisk, check out Getting Started with Brisk Teaching to get Brisk set up on your computer.

Brisk uses AI to generate feedback for students based on criteria that is set by the teacher. Criteria can be pasted into the Brisk tool, or a rubric PDF can be uploaded. Depending on the type of feedback you select, Brisk will generate responses in a table format to be pasted into the document or slideshow, or it will appear in the form of draft comments ("Targeted").

To get started, ensure you have editing access to the student's submitted work. Once the Google Document or Slideshow is open, select the Brisk button to display the available tools.

Here you will be presented with four feedback options:

Targeted - Comments aligned to uploaded rubrics (Google Doc only - Draft comments are created throughout document)

Glow & Grow - Highlight areas of strength, growth, and probing questions

Rubric Criteria - Feedback provided based on each section of rubric

Next Steps - Suggestions for next steps and strategies to build up core skills

Select the type of feedback and either type in (paste) your success criteria, or upload a PDF of your rubric for Brisk to analyze. Click "Brisk It" to have feedback generated for you to review!
