SMART Learning Suite (SLS) is a web application that allows you to modify existing PPT, pdf, and SMART Notebook files as well as Google Docs, Slides, and Sheets so that they have screenwriting functionality that saves to the new .sls file. These .sls files are saved in Drive and can be moved to appropriate folders.
When you open a file with SLS, you can modify it in Edit mode, adding student activities like polls, text input, drawing input, item matching, and more.
You can also make a slide or page into a Handout, which gives each student their own copy to work on, or a Workspace, which allows teams of students to work on the same space.
Once you have edited your lesson, you can switch to Presentation mode. Students navigate to hellosmart.com and enter your class code. Your lesson is then pushed out to their screens and you have the option to control the pacing of the lesson or let students navigate through it independently.
You can also provide students with a link to the file that allows them to access it and work on Handouts or Workspaces outside of class time.
